Toshiba Corporation and its subsidiaries including TAEC and affiliates (collectively "Toshiba") work continually to improve its products' quality and reliability. Nevertheless, semiconductor devices and other electronic or non-electronic components in general can malfunction or fail due to their inherent electrical and physical sensitivity. Although Toshiba performs quality control and other tests, specific testing of all parameters of each product is not necessarily performed. Each customer must validate all operating parameters for each design and application in which the Toshiba product is to be used. TOSHIBA ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR CUSTOMER PRODUCT DESIGN OR APPLICATION.
Customers are responsible for complying with safety standards, for providing adequate designs and safeguards for their products and applications which minimize risk, and for avoiding situations in which a malfunction or failure of a Toshiba product could cause loss of human life, bodily injury or damage to property, including data loss or corruption. Before creating and producing designs, customers must also refer to and comply with the precautions and conditions set forth in the relevant documents, including without limitation "Handling Guide for Semiconductor Devices" and "TOSHIBA Semiconductor Reliability Handbooks."
