Toshiba pioneered the development of Cobalt (Co)-based amorphous (non-crystalline) magnetic alloys for electronic applications. Toshiba offers amorphous magnetic cores for noise suppression, mag-amps, snubbers and pulse transformers. Key applications for these amorphous cores include switching power supplies, noise sensitive equipment, medical instruments and telecommunications.
Improvements in magnetic properties have resulted from Toshiba's commitment to research and development. Toshiba continues its R&D programs to further improve the properties of the amorphous alloys and the magnetic components made from them.

STOP NOISE! The amorphous noise suppression devices, AMOBEADS and SPIKE KILLER, suppress rapid changes in current which could otherwise lead to electrical noise in many circuits. Unlike other noise reduction methods that absorb noise after it is created, amorphous noise suppression devices suppress the source of the noise.
