The PX04SHB Series is optimized for write-intensive virtualized data centers, big data analytics and high performance computing (HPC) workloads.  The best-in-class 270k IOPS random read , 12.0 Gbit/s SAS SSD delivers a unique customer-tunable power and performance feature allowing optimization for power efficiency or maximum performance.

Further features include power-loss protection and data path protection. Each model is available as a self-encrypting drive (SED) with instant secure erase and supports pin-3 power disable for improved enclosure services control over storage media.

Aiming at applications requiring the highest levels of eSSD performance, reliability and endurance, this Enterprise High Endurance SSD supports excellent 25 DWPD (Drive Writes Per Day). The PX04SHB is available in capacities from 200GB to 1.6TB.

  • Definition of capacity: Toshiba defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes, a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes and a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1GB = 230 = 1,073,741,824 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system, such as Microsoft Operating System and/or pre-installed software applications, or media content. Actual formatted capacity may vary.
