Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation (“Toshiba ”) has launched “TLP172GAM”, a photorelay using the compact 4pin SO6 package with an OFF-state output terminal voltage of 400 V.
The new TLP172GAM is suitable for a wider range of applications that needs a higher voltage margin compared to the TLP172GM, a existing product with an OFF-state output terminal voltage of 350 V. In addition, its rated ON-current is 0.11 A, the same as that of TLP172GM.
TLP172GAM can replace a 1-Form-A mechanical relay. Replacing mechanical relays with photorelays helps improve system reliability and reduces the space required for relays and relay drivers. Furthermore, the product’s rated operating temperature is up to 110 ºC, making it easier to secure a temperature margin in system-level thermal design.
