Can bias resistor built-in transistors (BRTs) be used for general amplification purposes?

Because BRTs are designed for a digital operation, they are not suitable for a linear (analog) operation. You might be able to use those BRTs that have only a bias resistor, R1, for amplification, but a board design should be fully verified empirically.
