Example of circuit using discrete solution

The TVS diode (ESD protection diode) is used to protect the internal circuit from noise and surges that enter from the outside. For signal communication in the module circuit, the external signal line must be isolated from the body. Optical-coupled photocouplers provide simple and reliable isolation. A transistor output photocoupler or an IC output photocoupler which has high-speed communication capability is recommended. In addition, it is essential to observe the safety standards established in each country. Toshiba Photocouplers have been approved by UL1577, VDE:EN60747-5-5, EN62368-1, and other organizations.
