Toshiba compact package LDO regulators have characteristics of low-noise, high-output stability, etc. They match to the demand which are needed especially for analog circuits. Toshiba prepare LDO regulators lineup from the general-purpose type to an ultra-small package type. Moreover, we have also improved the drop-out characteristic sharply according to the new generation process.

Ultra-small Package and Low-noise 200mA LDO Regulator for Mobile Devices: TCR2DG Series

WCSP4 package

200mA output single LDO regulator featuring low-noise output, high ripple rejection ratio, excellent responsiveness under high-speed loads and low drop-out, and that uses a newly developed micro CMOS process.
This product achieves a low-noise output of 18µVrms (2.5 V output), excellent ripple rejection ratio 62 dB at a high frequency (2.5 V output, f = 10 kHz), excellent responsibility under high-speed loads of ΔVOUT = ± 65 mV (IOUT = 1 mA ⇔ 150 mA, COUT = 1.0 µF), and low drop-out characteristics of 80 mV (2.5 V output, IOUT = 100 mA).
By using an ultra-small (0.79 × 0.79 × 0.5 mm) WCSP4 package, this LDO regulator is suitable for applications requiring high-density packaging, such as mobile devices.

Low Drop-out Voltage and Low-noise 200mA LDO Regulators: TCR2EN / EE / EF Series

Single output 200 mA CMOS LDO regulators with a control terminal, that uses a newly developed micro CMOS process.
The voltage difference between the input and output features low drop-out characteristics of 160 mV (2.5 V output, IOUT = 150 mA). At the same time, these products achieve 35 µVrms (2.5 V output) low output noise voltage characteristics and high-speed load transient response characteristics of ΔVOUT = ± 55 mV (IOUT = 1 mA ⇔ 150 mA, COUT = 1.0 µF). In addition to overcurrent protection, output auto-discharge and other basic functions, these regulators can be recommended for a wide range of applications.
These products are available in an ultra-small (0.8 × 0.8 × 0.38 mm) SDFN4 package and the general-purpose SMV (2.9 × 2.8 × 1.1 mm) and ESV (1.6 × 1.6 × 0.55 mm) packages.

Low current consumption and low dropout voltage 200-mA LDO regulator: TCR2LN/LE/LF series

The TCR2LN/LE/LF series consists of single-output 200-mA LDO regulator ICs fabricated using the latest small-geometry analog CMOS IC process that features ultra-low current consumption and low dropout voltage.

The new series consumes 2 μA maximum, or 1/30th of the current consumed by the preceding TCR2E series.

The TCR2LN/LE/LF series provides a fixed output voltage of 0.8 V to 3.6 V and is available in the ultra-small SDFN4 package (measuring 0.8 mm × 0.8 mm) or general-purpose SOT-553 and S0T-25 packages. It is ideal for various mobile applications requiring long battery life such as wearable devices, smartphones, tablet PCs and portable game consoles.

  • Ultra-low bias current: 2 μA maximum @ IOUT = 0 mA and Tj = -40°C to 85°C
  • Dropout voltage: 250 mV typical (@2.5-V output, IOUT = 150 mA) 
  • Available with an output voltage ranging from 0.8 V to 3.6 V (fixed output voltage)
  • Output voltage regulation: ±1.0 % (VOUT ≥ 1.8 V)
  • Automatic output discharge (The control pin is connected to a pull-down resistor.)
  • Allows use of small ceramic capacitors on the input and output lines (CIN = 0.1 µF, COUT = 1.0 µF)
