Electric Toothbrush Solution

Electric toothbrushes have been developed for disabled people, elderly people and sick people who cannot brush their tooth. One of the major features of electric toothbrushes is their brushing speed, which cannot be imitated by human hands, where the evolution of motors, motor control circuits and power supply circuits play a major role. In addition, some electric toothbrushes equip "artificial intelligent brushing cognitive function". The sensor on the main body recognizes the brushing and AI checks the brushing pattern of several thousand people. Furthermore, the function to display the brushing guide on the smartphone in real time is considering. Improving the brushing speed and extending their operating time makes them a contradictory technical issue for battery-powered electric toothbrushes. Toshiba offers a lineup of MOSFETs suitable for optimizing motor control for high-speed brushing, schottky barrier diodes, operational amplifiers, and LDO regulators realize power supply management to improve power supply stability and MCUs and Bluetooth SoCs that are critical in power supply quality inside electric toothbrushes. These semiconductors are mounted in a compact and lightweight package, contributing to the reduction of board space for the enhancement of the functionality of electric toothbrushes, and contributing to the realization of oral care that cannot be achieved by human hands with future electric toothbrushes.
