Warranty Return

This site is for U.S. customers of Toshiba America Electronic Corporation (TAEC) only and that purchased their drives directly from TAEC U.S..

If you are not located in the U.S. and purchased yourdrive from another Toshiba region you must contact your local Toshiba office.

Those U.S. customers or businesses that did not purchase their drives directly from TAEC must return the drives to the place of purchase.  They are not eligible for warranty support in the U.S.

To check the warranty of a drive or to obtain an RMA online or to check the status of an existing RMA.

There are several possible paths to follow to obtain the Warranty Support you need.

Please review the options below and choose the one that best describes your current situation.

  • PLEASE NOTE - As of July 1, 2015 our Technical Support contact information has changed.
  • If you are not sure that the drive is defective or you are in need of Technical Support to help determine the problem with the drive please go to – TAEC_SPBU_techhelp@taec.toshiba.com or phone 1-877-689-4899 option #2 or go here.
  • If you purchased an internal / external drive from a retail store, from Toshiba Direct (online store) please go here.
  • If the Toshiba storage device came installed as a component within another device (such as but not limited to - a PC, Laptop, Server, etc.) then it must be returned to the manufacturer of the device.

    Your warranty is with the device manufacturer and not directly with Toshiba.

Replacement Program

The Replacement Program ensures that in the unlikely event of a product defect, Toshiba will replace that product within five to ten (5-10) business days. Certain restrictions apply.

Product Returns

If you own storage product and are in need of an RMA, please submit your request utilizing the online RMA login. Optionally, an RMA can be requested by calling our Return Material Authorization (RMA) center at 1-877-689-4899 option #1. Available Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. PST. Please read the Warranty Return Procedure for detailed information prior to submitting an online RMA.
