Watch Dog Timer (WDT)

Function explanation : [Function explanation]

Simulation : [Operation of the watchdog timer]

Function explanation

  • The watchdog timer aims at detecting a malfunction (runaway) occurred in the CPU due to causes such as a noise, and at returning to the normal state.
  • If the watchdog timer is enabled, the binary counter in the watchdog timer is always incremented. The reset or the INTWDT interrupt occurs when the binary counter is overflowed.
  • Clearing the watchdog timer within the setting time detects having progressed to processing un-clearable by the malfunction.
