Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation today released the English edition of “Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation Environmental Report 2017,” a review of the company’s environmental policies, measures and activities.
The 2017 report, the first from the company as an independent operation, covers activities in fiscal 2016, including efforts to reduce environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions in production processes; a water risk assessment survey, primarily of front-end factories; and the development of semiconductors and HDD that reduce energy consumption. The report also looks at proactive environmental communications activities carried out at manufacturing sites.
The report’s introduction is a commitment to environmental management by Hiroshi Fukuchi, the company’s president and CEO.
