TOKYO—Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation today released the English edition of Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation Environmental Report 2019. Published annually, the report provides stakeholders and interested parties with detailed information on the company’s environmental management, policies and practices.
The coverage of the 2019 report includes a dialog on environmental management, “Understanding the Central Role of the Environment in Management” and reports on initiatives to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to realize Toshiba Group’s medium-term environmental targets under The Sixth Environmental Action Plan.
The report also covers environmental activities rooted in local communities, among them environmental education for elementary school students and biodiversity conservation work, and projects that won the Minister of Environment Award and an Encouragement Award in the “2018 Excellent Enterprise Awards for Environmental Human Resources Development,” sponsored by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment and the Environmental Consortium for Leadership Development.
