Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation ("Toshiba") has expanded its lineup with the launch of 12 bipolar transistor products for use in gate drive circuits for power devices, current switches for consumer equipment and industrial equipment, and LED drive circuits. The new products are "TTA011, TTA012, TTA013, TTC019, TTC020 and TTC021" housed in SC-62 package (Toshiba’s nickname: PW-Mini) and "TPCP8605, TPCP8606, TPCP8607, TPCP8512, TPCP8513 and TPCP8514" housed in PS-8 package. The collector-emitter voltage ratings and collector current (DC) ratings for each product are as follows: -50 V / -5 A for TTA011 and TPCP8605, -80 V / -4 A for TTA012 and TPCP8606, -120 V / -2.5 A for TTA013 and TPCP8607, 50 V / 5 A for TTC019 and TPCP8512, 80 V / 4 A for TTC020 and TPCP8513, 120 V / 3 A for TTC021 and TPCP8514.

The new products TTA011, TTA012, TTC019 and TTC020 use SC-62 package with a larger collector current (DC) rating than the Toshiba’s existing products[1] in the same package. For new product TTC019, the collector current (DC) rating is 5 A, which is approximately 1.5 times that of Toshiba’s existing product 2SC5712. In addition, TTC019 has reduced the mounting area by approximately 70 % compared with Toshiba’s existing product 2SC5886A with the same ratings and New PW-Mold package. This helps saving the space on mounting boards. TTA013 with the collector-emitter voltage rating of -120 V and collector current (DC) rating of -2.5 A, and TTC021 with ratings of 120 V / 3 A have been added to the lineup of SC-62 package products.

The new products TPCP8605, TPCP8606, TPCP8607, TPCP8512, TPCP8513 and TPCP8514 use a small PS-8 package. These products are smaller than SC-62 package products and further help to save the space of mounting boards.
