Our corporate group is conducting a variety of education on the environment, primarily at manufacturing sites both domestic and overseas, to children, who are our future generations.
Kaga Toshiba Electronics Corporation held visiting classes for students at a nearby elementary school to learn about the functions of semiconductors. They learned about the history and structure of semiconductors and their contribution to energy-saving, and experienced circuit construction. We received feedback from the students, such as "I was happy to learn about how electricity works," and "I now understand how signals are made and what climate change is all about."
Class participants: Approx. 100 students
We learned what "semiconductors" are, which are used in many of the various electrical products around us and are indispensable for the use of electricity, through hands-on classes.
In the classes, students will deepen their knowledge through hands-on activities such as circuit construction using semiconductors, and will also consider how semiconductors help solve our daily life and environmental issues, while introducing the latest efforts in manufacturing.
