東芝電子元件及儲存裝置株式會社(東芝)推出一款驅動中高電流絕緣柵雙極型電晶體(IGBT)和MOSFET的預驅動光耦 - TLP5231,其適用於工業逆變器和光伏(PV)的功率調節系統。此預驅動光耦內置多種功能[1],其中包括通過監控集電極電壓實現過流檢測。產品於今日起開始出貨。
新型預驅動光耦使用外部P溝道和N溝道互補的MOSFET作為緩衝器,來控制中高電流IGBT和MOSFET。
目前現有產品[2]需要使用雙極型電晶體構成的緩衝電路來實現電流放大,這會在工作中消耗基極電流。新產品能夠使用外部互補MOSFET緩衝器,僅在緩衝器MOSFET的柵極充電或放電時消耗電流,有助於降低功耗。
通過改變外部互補MOSFET緩衝器的大小,TLP5231能夠為各種IGBT和MOSFET提供所需的柵極電流。TLP5231、MOSFET緩衝器以及IGBT/MOSFET的配置可用作平臺來滿足系統的功率需求,從而簡化設計。
其他功能包括:在檢測到VCE(sat)過流後使用另一個外部N溝道MOSFET控制“柵極軟關斷時間”;另外,除了能通過監控集電極電壓檢測到VCE(sat)之外,還有UVLO[3]檢測,將任意故障信號輸出到一次側。以上這些現有產品[2]不具備的新特性,能夠讓TLP5231幫助用戶更輕鬆地設計柵極驅動電路。
