Semiconductor Division
The Semiconductor Division’s wide range of high‑performance, highly reliable products includes power semiconductors, small‑signal devices, photocouplers, digital isolators, analog ICs, and microcontrollers (MCUs). All find use in diverse applications, from consumer electronics and telecommunications equipment to automotives, railways, electric power systems, and other infrastructure.
Power semiconductors are essential for improving energy efficiency in virtually everything that runs on electricity, and they are one of our top‑priority growth areas. Alongside silicon (Si), long the workhorse of power semiconductors, we are furthering the development of more efficient products fabricated with compound semiconductor materials, including silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN). The recent capacity expansion at our 300‑millimeter Si-wafer manufacturing facilities has allowed us to enhance supply stability and further contribute to progress toward carbon-neutral.
Storage Products Division
The Storage Products Division is meeting explosive global growth in data-storage needs with high-capacity, high-performance on-board hard disk drives (HDDs) and external storage solutions. The only Japanese company in this sector, we develop and manufacture products for a wide range of users, from consumers to large and demanding enterprise customers.
Rapid progress in AI technologies is significantly accelerating data generation, driving ever stronger demand for high capacity nearline HDDs for data centers and cloud services. Through technical collaborations with Toshiba’s Corporate Laboratory, third-party research organizations, and other companies, we are advancing the commercialization of innovative products.
On the production side, we resolutely adopt environmentally friendly design and manufacturing processes that contribute to the realization of a sustainable future. By leveraging our years of experience and powers in technological innovation, we continue to support constantly evolving customer requirements with data storage solutions that anticipate and answer the needs of the times.
