NuFlare Technology, Inc.

We collected books that were finished reading at home within the company and donated them to local welfare organizations. The collected books were converted into donation funds and used for welfare activities in Yokohama City, such as child support, elderly support, and support for people with disabilities. Organized by: Yokohama City Council of Social Welfare Volunteer Center.

Toshiba Device Solutions Corporation

We collected used stamps and miswritten postcards within the company and donated them to a specified non-profit organization. In this activity, we gathered 572 postcards and 650 grams of used stamps. Recipient: 'Specified Non-Profit Organization Friends of the Earth / LIFE.

Japan Semiconductor Corporation Oita-Operations

We collected 122 kg of PET bottle caps from our employees and donated them to nearby companies, receiving a letter of appreciation in return. The donated caps will be converted into approximately 30 doses of polio vaccine and delivered to children in Africa.

To address food waste and contribute to society, we collected surplus food that we do not consume or cannot finish at home. These items were delivered to "Kodomo Shokudo" (children's cafeterias) and welfare facilities through "Food Bank Oita." This initiative aims to reduce food waste and support the local community.

At this charity bazaar, 115 employees from Toshiba Electronics Taiwan brought items to contribute to the bazaar. This activity raised 20,000 TWD, which was donated to the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation.

Our company participated in the "No E-Waste Thailand" initiative. We educated our employees on the proper sorting and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment, collected the items, and sent them to recycling facilities. A total of 55 employees participated in this activity, and we collected 264 pieces of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

We donated aluminum cans to the Prosthetics and Orthotics Foundation, aiming to raise employee awareness about waste recycling and sorting. The total amount of donated aluminum was 70.7 kg.

Our company participated in an industrial park association's factory tour project for local schools in Pathum Thani Province. We conducted outreach classes on safety and environmental issues, focusing on "waste sorting." The classes were held on August 29, September 5, September 12, September 19, and September 22, 2023. A total of five schools participated, and our employee volunteer team consisted of 12 members.

To raise employee awareness and promote the 3Rs, we collected aluminum pull tabs and used staplers from employees and donated them to the International Association of Disabled Persons. In the fiscal year 2023, we collected 5.4 kg of aluminum and 16.2 kg of staplers. From the fiscal year 2016 to the present, we have donated a total of 46.4 kg of aluminum and 110.8 kg of staplers.

We collected a total of 475 used cloth bags and paper bags from employees and donated them to the local hospital. These bags will be used for dispensing medication.

In June and October, we focused on sorting and collecting empty cans, cigarettes, and other trash in the parking lots and commuting routes used by employees. Additionally, we participated as volunteers in the 'Asahikawa City Anti-Littering Campaign' held in May and October.

On June 21, the summer solstice, and July 7, Tanabata Day, we conducted light-down and energy-saving calls for signboards during the period of increased electricity demand in summer. Our plant contributed to a reduction of 270 kWh.
