TXZ+™ Family Advanced Class - New Products

Introducing 5 groups of new microcontrollers of TXZ+™ family advanced class that realize low power consumption, support system cost reduction, and motor controls.

  • Based on Arm® Cortex® -M core, with integrated large capacity flash memory
  • Equipped with application focused peripherals such as motor controls and sensing
  • Supporting rich connectivity and a functional safety design

The 5 groups

TXZ+™ family advanced class consists of five groups of 32-bit microcontrollers. The M4K, M4M, M4G, and M4N groups are based on the Arm Cortex-M4 core, and the M3H group is based on the Arm Cortex-M3 core. All groups offer low power consumption, suitable for a wide variety of applications such as home appliances, industrial devices, office automation and audio visual devices, healthcare devices, etc. The advanced class has a maximum operating frequency of 200MHz, max 2MB flash memory with 100k write cycles endurance and 12-bit analog-to-digital converters with fast conversion times. They are supplemented with applicationーfocused peripherals such as high-efficiency motor control IP or rich connectivity interfaces.

  • 512 to 2048KB code flash and 32KB data flash with 100k write cycles endurance
  • 256KB SRAM with parity plus 2KB backup RAM
  • Serial memory interface (supports Quad/Octal SPI), audio interface (I2S) and external bus interface
  • Programmable motor driver and digital-to-analog converter
  • Analog-to-digital converter, supporting individual sample and hold time setting for each channel
  • High throuhput communication with multiple DMA controllers and unique bus matrix
M4G Group

M4N Group

M4N Group

M3H Group

  • Arm Cortex-M3 core, max 120MHz operation
  • Package line-up (64 to 144pin)
  • 256 to 512KB code flash and 32KB data flash memory
  • 64KB SRAM with parity plus 2KB backup RAM
  • Programmable motor driver and encoder interface
  • Built-in digital LCD driver supports easy contrast adjustment, saves on the bill of materials, and eases PCB routing
  • 2.7 to 5.5V voltage and -40 to 105C operating temperature suitable for a variety of general motor control and HMI applications, both for consumer and industrial equipment
M3H Group

Examples of Application Products for Advanced Class

The M4K group is suitable for high performance motor control applications such as air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, inverter pumps, actuators, power tools, etc. The M4M group, which added CAN to the M4K group functionality, is in demand for industrial equipment such as factory automation, building automation, robots, cobots and automated guided vehicles (AGV). The M4G group targets office automation equipment including multi-function printers, AV devices, etc., which require high-speed data processing and large flash memory capacities. The M4N group is suitable for networking and information management devices, such as printers and other office equipment requiring Ethernet and USB connectivity. The M3H group is excellent for basic processing and motor control applications in home appliances, office equipment, or other consumer devices.

Application Example for TXZ+ Family Advanced Class

Future Schedule of Sample Provision and Mass Production Start

Shipment of engineering samples (ES) will start in the first quarter (January to March) of 2021 and mass production will start in the third quarter (July to September) of 2021.
Associated documentation, evaluation boards, development tools and sample software will be provided in the same time frame.
