Expanded Lineup of Bipolar Transistors that Contribute to the Reduction of the Power Consumption of Equipment

Product News 2024-06

The package photograph of expanded lineup of bipolar transistors that contribute to the reduction of the power consumption of equipment.

Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation (“Toshiba”) has launched two bipolar transistors "TTC022” (with SC-62 package: Toshiba’s nickname package is PW-Mini) and "TPCP8515" (Toshiba’s nickname package is PS-8), suitable for gate drive circuits in power devices, current switches of consumer equipment and industrial equipment. The collector-emitter voltage rating and collector current (DC) rating of the new products are both 12 V/5 A.

By optimizing the chip structure, the low collector-emitter saturation voltage of new products TTC022 and TPCP8515 has been reduced by approximately 21 %[1] compared to the Toshiba’s existing product 2SC5714[2] with similar ratings. This contributes to the reduction of the power consumption of equipment.

Toshiba will continue to expand its lineup of products that help reduce the power consumption of equipment.

Notes
[1] Values measured by Toshiba. Test condition: IC=2.0 A, IB=0.067 A
[2] PW-Mini package with collector-emitter voltage rating is 20 V and collector current (DC) rating is 4 A
