Toshiba Unveils Pro Series N300 and X300 – Enhanced Performance & Reliability for Professionals and Gaming Enthusiasts

IRVINE, Calif. —  Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC) announced the release of two new products today. The N300 Pro and X300 Pro HDDs are excellent solutions for business owners and creative professionals, respectively, seeking a hard disk drive built for high performance and reliability. Both HDDs boast capacities of up to 18TB1 with workloads up to 300TB/year2 and a come with a limited 5-year warranty.

Both N300 Pro and X300 Pro are built around Toshiba’s latest innovations in HDD technology. The N300 Pro and X300 Pro combine Toshiba’s Cache Technology and Stable Platter Technology (≥10TB range), and FC-MAMR3 (18TB) to provide a leading-edge solution for both advanced consumers and professionals.

N300 Pro offers 4TB, 6TB, 8TB, 10TB, 12TB, 14TB, 16TB and 18TB capacities – with 7200 RPM rotational speed and CMR4 technology Toshiba’s unique laser welding helium-sealed process is used in the 10TB, 12TB, 14TB, 16TB, and 18TB designs to achieve low power consumption and acoustic output. The drive is designed for 24/7 NAS environment, supports up to 24 drive bays5, has built-in RV sensor to mitigate rotational vibration, and is rated at 1.2 million hour MTTF6. The N300 Pro is built for Network Attached Storage for high-intensity workloads and RAID-optimized NAS systems with up to 24 bays and is a great fit for medium or large-sized businesses.

X300 Pro’s innovative actuator designs help optimize positioning accuracy and read/write performance for real-time access to data. X300 Pro comes in 4TB, 6TB, 8TB, 10TB, 12TB, 14TB, 16TB and 18TB capacities and is manufactured with high-endurance components for enhanced reliability and workload performance. These models spin at 7200 RPM and employee CMR technology for broad compatibility.  The X300 Pro also utilizes Toshiba’s unique laser welding helium-sealed design in the 10TB, 12TB, 14TB, 16TB and 18TB models. All X300 Pro models have a 1.0 million hour MTTF and are built for workload-intensive applications for creative professionals and gaming PC enthusiasts. The X300 Pro is designed for professional desktop workstations, high-end gaming computers, high workload performance PCs, and multi-media design workstations.
