Kaga Toshiba Electronics Corporation
Kaga Toshiba Electronics Co., Ltd. has received the Publicity Award in the Education and Social Activities area of the "13th Ishikawa Eco Design Award 2023". The Ishikawa Eco Design Award recognizes outstanding products, services, educational and social activities from Ishikawa that lead to the realization of a sustainable society, including carbon neutrality (measures to combat global warming), coexistence with nature such as preservation of satoyama and satoumi, resource recycling (3R), and information dissemination and partnership (participation and international efforts) for environmental conservation. The awards are given in recognition of outstanding "products," "services," "education," and "social activities" from Ishikawa that lead to the realization of a sustainable society.
The content of this year's award is "Mysterious Material that Manipulates Electricity!? An environmental visiting lectures for elementary school students using semiconductors. Kaga Toshiba and other Toshiba Device & Storage Group manufacturing sites in Japan have been continuously giving "Environmental visiting lectures" to local elementary schools to raise awareness of environmental issues that have a great impact on people's lives, such as climate change, to the children who will lead the future. Specifically, through the introduction of semiconductors and other technologies that contribute to solving social issues and various initiatives in an easy-to-understand manner, we provide an opportunity for children to learn while having fun, to think about how they can contribute to environmental issues and society as a member of society, and to take action.
Japan Semiconductor Corporation Oita-Operations,
Japan Semiconductor Corporation Oita-Operations received the "FY2022 Energy Conservation Grand Prize (Supported by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) Energy Conservation Center Chairman's Award" from the Energy Conservation Center, Japan. As a Japanese semiconductor manufacturing company, Japan Semiconductor Cor. has been producing high-performance semiconductors for 50 years, sticking to "Made in Japan" in spite of the rapidly changing competitive environment worldwide.
