Brushed DC Motor Driver ICs

Toshiba offers brushed motor drivers fabricated using a CDMOS or BiCDMOS process that exhibits low output Ron and thus helps reduce power consumption. Toshiba's product portfolio contains a wide range of brushed motor drivers with extensive supply voltage, output current and channel count options. Toshiba's product offerings include motor drivers that consist of multiple H-bridges that can be combined in a flexible manner according to the types of motors driven (stepping motors and brushed DC motors) and the required current capabilities.

Drop-in Compatible Constant-Current Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver ICs

TB67H480FNG/TB67H481FNG

  • Drop-in, pin-to-pin compatible  HTSSOP28 6.4mm x 9.7mm package
  • For TB67H481FTG there is an additional package option (the TB67H481FTG), using the highly compact VQN32 package
  • Constant-current dual H-bridge motor driver ICs capable of driving up to two motors each
  • Built-in charge pump capacitors to save board space and system costs
  • Motor output voltage rating up to 50V, output current rating up to 2.5A
  • Suitable for DC brushed motors or bipolar stepping motors
  • Input interfaces: TB67H481FNG uses a pulse-width modulated (PWM) input, TB67H480FNG uses a PHASE/ENABLE input
  • Supports motor power supply voltages from 8.2V to 44V operational range, and consumes less than 10μA (typ.) in sleep mode
  • RDS(ON) is only 0.4Ω (typ.) for both high-side and low-side
  • Compact Click Boards™ are available from MikroElektronika to simplifying evaluation and software development

  • Maximum motor drive output current of 3A at 44V
  • Ultra-low standby current of max. 1µA
  • Undervoltage lock out and auto-return thermal shutdown 
  • Latching (TB67H450AFNG) or non-latching (TB67H451AFNG) overcurrent detection
