Transistor-Output Photocouplers

Transistor-output photocouplers are used for a wide range of applications such as a feedback circuit in a power supply and optoelectronic interfacing in industrial equipment.
Toshiba offers an extensive lineup of transistor-output photocouplers, including those with an operating temperature range of up to 125°C and those with a high collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of 350 V.

  • Current transfer ratio (CTR) guaranteed at a low input current (IF = 0.5 mA) (TLP182/183/292/293)
  • High current drive due to a Darlington output (TLP187 etc.)

Features of Transistor-Output Photocouplers

1. Guaranteed CTR at a low input current (I F = 0.5 mA) (TLP182/183/292/293)

The TLP182, TLP183, TLP292 and TLP293 provide a high guaranteed CTR even at a low input current (IF = 0.5 mA) due to the use of a high-power InGaAs (MQW) LED.
Since these photocouplers guarantee CTR values at both IF = 5 mA and IF = 0.5 mA, functional designing in the low-current region is simplified.

Guarantees the same CTR range at both IF = 0.5 mA and IF = 5 mA. CTR rank examples: GR Rank: CTR = 100% to 300% BL Rank: CTR = 200% to 600%
