What is the FLAG output function of the load switch IC?

The FLAG output function

The FLAG output function is a diagnostic function that drives the FLAG terminal from Low to High to notify an external device of an abnormal system condition when undervoltage lockout, overvoltage lockout, or thermal shutdown is tripped. The FLAG terminal has an open-drain configuration. Connect an external pull-up resistor to the FLAG terminal.
