Our newly developed TLCS™-870/C1 Series of 8-bit microcontrollers that deliver high-speed processing capability equivalent to 16-bit microcontrollers. The TLCS™-870/C1 Series achieves high-speed processing capability at low internal clock frequencies by operating one instruction cycle in a single clock cycle. Toshiba’s proprietary memory segment method allows addressing up to 128 Kbytes of memory address space.
TLCS™-870/C1E Series, the new addition to the TLCS™ Family, employs a new structure type Flash memory.

TLCS™-870/C1E Series is Toshiba’s first product series to employ SONOS (silicon-oxide-nitride-oxide-silicon) memory, a new Flash memory technology that is highly suited to systems that demand highly reliable data retention and high level resilience to repeated data write and erase.
