Un CI de commutation de charge est un CI d'alimentation fabriqué selon un procédé CMOS comprenant un transistor de sortie et un pilote de sortie. Les commutateurs de charge sur CI sont beaucoup plus compacts que les modèles constitués de composants discrets. De plus, les CI de commutation de charge fonctionnent à basse tension, avec une faible résistance à l'état passant et une consommation électrique réduite, et offrent des fonctions supplémentaires. Hébergés dans des boîtiers ultracompacts de moins de 1 mm2, les CI de commutation de charge de Toshiba sont parfaits pour les applications portables où l'espace est compté.
