How can I suppress inrush current with a load switch IC?

To suppress the inrush current that occurs when the load switch IC is enabled, use a load switch IC with an inrush current limiting function, which suppresses the current flowing to the capacitor connected to the output terminal (VOUT) by slowing turning on the output-stage transistor. The inrush current limiting function is also called a soft-start, slow-start, or slew rate control function.
