RF Block for LTE Smartphones

RF switches are suitable for use as RF front-end antenna switches in smartphones. Toshiba's RF switches are the ideal solution for RF front-end module applications compliant with LTE, which is being adopted worldwide, as well as with LTE Advanced, which will be commercially deployed shortly.

TarfSOI™ :Toshiba advanced RF SOI*1

As a successor to the Toshiba-original TarfSOI™ (Toshiba advanced RF SOI) process, Toshiba has developed the new TaRF5 process, which provides the world's smallest*2 insertion loss and a small form factor. RF switches fabricated with the TaRF5 process deliver approximately 25% lower insertion loss (at 2.7 GHz) and approximately 40% size reduction (for SP10T), compared to the comparable devices fabricated with the TaRF3 process.
