Brushed DC Motors and Brushless Motors

Brushed DC Motors and Brushless Motors

Brushed DC motors are the most commonly used type of motor because of their good controllability, high efficiency, and easy miniaturization. They are commonly called DC motors.
Brushless motors do not require brushes and commutators, which are drawbacks of brushed DC motors. They have excellent lifetime, easy maintenance, and low noise operation.
In addition, while including the feature of the excellent controllability of DC motors, they have a high degree of structural freedom and can be easily embedded into equipment.
Therefore, due to their high efficiency drive and energy saving, they have been widely used not only for industrial equipment but also for OA equipment and home appliances.
