Can high-frequency signals be switched ON/OFF with a triac coupler?

Triac couplers are designed to turn the commercial power supply ON/OFF and are not suitable for high-frequency signal switching control. At high frequencies, a voltage rises or falls suddenly. Owing to this voltage slope, a current may flow in the stray capacitance inside the photo triac and cause malfunction.
