Reverse current blocking function

Reverse current blocking function

The reverse current blocking function is a function to prevent current from flowing from the output to the input side, for example, when output voltage becomes higher than input voltage. Toshiba eFuse ICs can prevent reverse current when turned off by optional external N-channel MOSFET.

Toshiba eFuse IC TCKE8xx has a built-in Nch MOSFET. If another Nch MOSFET is externally connected to this product and the gate voltage is supplied from the EFET terminal, this circuit has a common source connection circuit configuration. Therefore, when the input voltage is 0 V (eFuse IC is off) and the voltage on the output terminal side is high, two parasitic (body) diodes can prevent reverse current flow.
