Toshiba has over 35 years of experience in the fabrication of motor drivers. These are used for various applications, including industrial equipment such as industrial sewing machines and automatic teller machines (ATMs), home appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, and office equipment such as printers and scanners.
Toshiba offers an extensive portfolio of motor drivers suitable for the control of brushed DC motors, brushless DC motors and stepping motors. Owing to its unique motor drive technology, Toshiba motor drivers deliver high drive efficiency. Furthermore, these are housed in small packages due to the use of a new analog process. Therefore, they help achieve stable motor control and reduce system size and power consumption.

  2. This will take you to the online registration form. Fill in the form. Confirm that all the data are correct, and click the 'Send' button.
  3. You will receive an on-screen confirmation message acknowledging that your registration has been accepted. You will thereafter receive download information at your registered email address.
  4. Click on the URL embedded in the email and download the desired PSpice® models.

    PSpice® models are provided as zip-compressed files.
    To run a simulation, you need to prepare a PSpice® simulation environment.

  • Single-phase, axial-flow fan motor evaluation board
    This evaluation board incorporates the TC78B002FTG brushless motor driver IC and allows you to evaluate the operations of a single-phase, axial-flow fan motor. The newly designed digital control logic shapes the motor current into a close approximation of a sine wave. It provides smoother motor rotation, higher motor efficiency and further acoustic noise reduction than the conventional block commutation. The use of digital control allows an external device to control the amplitude and phase of the output waveform, as well as the modulation method.

    This evaluation board has all the devices necessary to evaluate the TC78B002FTG. You can experiment with its digital control functionality just by attaching a single-phase, full-wave brushless motor and a DC power supply to the board.
