It’s been about 40 years since PCs were first equipped with hard disk drives (HDDs). Even more impressive is that those HDDs topped out at about 20MB, a mere fraction of today’s norm today. With the introduction of new technologies, the internal platters that store data have shrunk in size while capacities have grown. In this recent article, Rainer W.
