Open-Loop Control

Open-loop control

A stepping motor can be controlled easily because a feedback circuit is not required.

Non-stepping motors require feedback to determine the rotor position, in particular when you want them to be driven to a specific position. Stepping motors do not require such feedback, because they simple execute a number of steps.
