What are the leaks in a dual power bus switch?

Different leakages for dual-supply bus switches are specified in the DC characteristics of the datasheet.

The followings are the leakages specified in the data sheet (DC characteristics) of a dual power supply bus switch (TC7WPB9306/9307FK). (table-1)

  • Power-off leakage current(IOFF):This is the specification of the leakage current that flows from the switch input/output to the GND of the device when both power supplies are set to 0 V and the switch input/output terminals (A, B) are raised to the absolute maximum rating (power supply).
  • Switch OFF leakage current(ISZ):This is the specification for the leakage current that flows between the input and output of the switch and to GND when the switch is turned off using the switch enable terminal (OE or /OE) while both power supplies are ON.
  • Input leakage current(IIN):Similar to general-purpose logic ICs, this is a leakage current specification that flows from the switch enable terminal (OE or /OE) to the device's GND when the power is ON.
  • Leakage current from VCCB to VCCA(ICCBA):This is the specification of the leakage current that flows between the high voltage terminal and the low voltage terminal when both power supplies are ON.
  • Static current consumption (ICCAn, ICCBn): This is the leakage current specification that flows from the power supply terminal to GND.
