Toshiba offers battery charger ICs that provide accurate control over the charging of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries for mobile devices, such as smartphones and cellular phones.

TC7710 Series

Battery Charger IC

The TC7710 battery charger IC integrates a detection circuit corresponding to Battery Charging Specification Revision 1.2 and has a maximum charging current of 2 A*1.
Charging current and voltage are programmable via the I2C bus; thus, charging can be efficiently controlled to suit the needs of a particular mobile device. Combining the TC7710 with an external thermistor helps improve charging system safety.
