Generally, the high-frequency response shows a peak as shown in Fig. 1 if a capacitor is connected between the output and GND, and oscillation may occur in some cases. In this case, you can suppress the peak and improve the oscillation margin by inserting a resistor (about 1 to 2.2 Ω) in series with the capacitor. Note that the oscillation margin varies depending on the product. Contact our sales representative if you wish to have detailed data.
Our audio power IC has a built-in protection circuit for internal output transistors.
If capacitors are connected in series to the output line as shown in Fig. 2, phase differences may occur between the voltage and current phases of the audio power IC output; and then the built-in protection circuit may operate unintentionally by such a phase differences. As a result of that, abnormal noise or sound cutting may appear.
Please check no occurrence of these phenomena, and select appropriate components including speakers.
