A load switch IC is a power supply IC fabricated using a CMOS process that contains an output transistor and an output driver. The IC versions of load switches provide a solution footprint much smaller than those composed of discrete components. Moreover, load switch ICs feature low-voltage operation, low on-resistance and low current consumption and provides additional functions.
