Thermoflagger™ provides a simple solution for overtemperature detection.
Conventional overtemperature detection circuits using PTC thermistors are composed of discrete devices.
Using discrete ICs is more common nowadays.
Using transistors is the least expensive solution, but requires many parts and makes it difficult to achieve accurate temperature detection because of supply voltage fluctuations and variations among transistors.
In contrast to the circuit configurations using discrete devices, Thermoflagger™ helps reduce the parts count and the total solution area while achieving accurate temperature detection. Thermoflagger™ also eliminates the need to adjust circuit constants for each system design.
