The difference between a linear image sensor and an area image sensor

A linear image sensor has the following features, and it is suitable for a variety of applications.

Linear image sensor

A line scan camera scans objects in a line-by-line fashion. They are suitable for web inspection,and inspection where the object is constantly moving.
Line Scan Cameras have a high resolution scanning ability.

Falling object inspection
