The FLAG output is a function that notifies when the eFuse IC detects a specific fault.
Explanation of the TCKE9 Series Example.
Figure 1 shows the equivalent circuit of the FLAG terminal of the TCKE9 series. Since the FLAG terminal is an open-drain structure, it must be pulled up using an external resistor to an external supply.
When selecting the pull-up resistor, please fully consider the sink current (maximum rating) of the FLAG terminal and evaluate it sufficiently in the actual device. (As a reference, the pull-up resistor value is 10 kΩ.)
Table 1 shows the functions and timings of the FLAG output of the TCKE9 series. For details, please refer to the individual data sheets.
| Abnormal mode | FLAG power | Timing of FLAG Outputting Operation | IC operation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Superheating | Yes | Tj ≥ TSD 155 °C (Typ.) | Shutdown |
| Overvoltage | - | - | VOUT voltage-clamp |
| Low voltage | - | - | Shutdown |
| Overcurrent | - | - | IOUT Current Limit |
| Short-circuit | - | - | Shutdown |
| ILIM pin open | - | - | Shutdown |
| ILIM pin short-circuited | Yes | IOUT > 2 A (Typ.) | IOUT > 2A (Typ.) shutdown |
