For a bus switch to support these communication interfaces, it must have high-frequency characteristics sufficient for their communication speeds. Toshiba product TDS4A212MX, TDS4B212MX support these interfaces.
Both TDS4A212MX and TDS4B212MX support PCIe®*1 Gen 5.0, PCIe®*1 Gen 4.0, Thunderbolt™*2 4 and USB4®*3 and have the same functional and identical packaging with differing pinouts.
Item | TDS4A212MX | TDS4B212MX |
---|---|---|
Operaring Supply voltage | 1.6 to 3.6V | |
-3dB Bandwidth | 26.2GHz | 27.5GHz |
Differential Insertion loss@16GHz |
-1.9dB | -1.4dB |

Differential Crosstalk @16GHz |
-30dB | -36dB |
The features of each pin arrangement are described below.
TDS4A212MX maintains the input-differential-pair positional relationship in its pinout. Therefore, the wiring does not cross in the layout shown in Fig. 2.
The TDS4B212MX has a shorter internal wiring pin layout to reduce signal attenuation. Therefore, it has higher high-frequency characteristics than the TDS4A212MX.
