Sink/source logic input signal compatible products

Interface signals for PLCs and industrial equipment include synchronous logic (mainly in Japan) and source logic (mainly overseas). Normally, the input-side LED of a high-speed photocoupler is only unidirectional, and therefore a bridge circuit must be provided in the front stage of the LED of the photocoupler in order to cope with input signals in both sink and source directions.
We have a lineup of AC-input-compatible products (TLP2395/TLP2398) for which two LEDs connected antiparallel are mounted on the primary side.

The number of bridges can be reduced by using the TLP2395-/TLP2398-compatible with AC input.
