Peripheral Sample Software

Basic operation of peripherals

  • The PJ file for IDE supports each of IAR Embedded Workbench® /Arm® Keil® MDK/ SEGGER Embedded Studio.
  • Support for Arm® Compiler 6 has been added.
Sample Software/Function Description
Analog/Digital Converter ADC A program that will display the value , which is measured voltage from a potentiometer.
Example of displaying the result of the AD monitor function on the LED.
Advanced Encoder Input Circuit A_ENC2 The rotation is detected by the rotary encoder in the encoder mode. The LED blink frequency depends on the count value.
Clock/Mode Control CG Switch to the Low Power Consumption Mode (IDLE/STOP1/STOP2) by the push SW port input as a trigger.
Turn on and off the LED depending on the Operation Mode.
Comparator COMP This example compares the analog input voltage and the standard voltage(DAC output) by port input via switch as a trigger.
Turn on and off the LED depending on compare result.
CRC CRC This example continuously inputs data stored in RAM or Flash to the CRC and outputs the CRC result to a terminal emulator.
Digital/Analog Converter DAC This example outputs an analog voltage corresponding to a value received from a terminal software.
The generated analog voltage is converted by the ADC, and the conversion result is displayed on the terminal software.
Digital Noise Filter DNF This sample software detects the external interrupt signal that is generated by the switch via the DNF.
Serial Bus Interface EI2C Examples of controller/target communication using 2 evaluation boards.
Flash Control FLASH (1) This example erases and rewrites data in specified Flash blocks.
(2) This example writes and erases data in the Data Flash area.
Voltage Detection Circuit LVD This sample software compares the supply voltage with the detection voltage.
Oscillation Frequency Detector OFD This sample software detects error of external high speed oscillator by comparing it with the specified frequency range.
I/O Port PORT Determines whether a KEY is pressed and turns an LED on or off.
RAM Parity RAMP This example stores character strings received from a terminal software in RAM with RAM parity information added.
Performs parity checking on the stored data with  the Read command and displays the result on the terminal software.
Secure Access Memory SAM This example demonstrates region configuration for each state using the SAM function.
After configuration, Code Flash write, erase, and read operations are executed according to commands received from a terminal software.
Clock Selective SIWDT This example includes a case where an NMI interrupt occurs and a case where the NMI interrupt does not occur by periodically writing the clear code.
Watchdog Timer
Serial Memory SMIF This example uses terminal commands (read, write, and dump) to read/write the SPI Flash data and dump the specified-range.
Interface
32-bit Time Event Counter T32A (1) This sample masures the frequency of an external input pulse using the capture function, and displays the result on a terminal software.
(2) This sample demonstrates a 1-ms periodic timer interrupt.
(3) This sample outputs a variable-duty PPG (Programmable Pulse Generator) waveform.
Trimming Circuit TRM This sample adjusts the internal oscillator using an external input signal.
Serial Peripheral Interface TSPI (1) Examples of communication between TSPI controller and target using 2 evaluation boards. CRC, DMA, and FIFO are used for communication.
(2) Uses read/write commands from terminal software to read and write SPI Flash data.
Asynchronous Serial Communication Circuit UART (1) An example of receiving the character string from a terminal emulator.
(2) An example of sending the character string to a terminal emulator., with optional DMAC support.

Test Item
Description
CPU Register Test Writes checkerboard patterns to internal CPU registers and verifies that they can be read back correctly.
FPU Register Test Writes checkerboard patterns to internal FPU registers and verifies that they can be read back correctly.
CPU Program Counter Test Verifies, using multiple patterns, that the program counter (PC) jumps to the expected address after jump instructions.
Interrupt Test Verifies that timer interrupts occur at the expected frequency and complete normally.
Clock Frequency Test Monitors system clock and external clock abnormalities using a frequency detection circuit.
RAM Test Verifies RAM read/write operations using checkerboard patterns and the March C algorithm. If RAM parity is available, RAM parity is also used for verification.
FLASH Test Calculates CRC32 for a specified memory range and verifies it by comparison with the value generated at build time.
Digital I/O Test Verifies that High/Low levels output from I/O ports match the corresponding input values.
Analog input Test Applies a reference voltage and verifies that the A/D conversion result matches the expected value.
