Can eFuse IC (electronic fusing) be used to protect USB VBUS from short circuits and IEC62368 Qualification?

Specific usage of eFuse IC

Toshiba eFuse ICs are optimal products for short-circuit protection of USB terminal VBUS and power supply terminals. In addition, there are products that have obtained the IEC62368-1 standard, which can also contribute to obtaining IEC62368-1 certification for devices.

Regarding the short-circuit protection, the short-circuit condition is detected at high speed, and the output current is quickly limited by controlling the internal MOSFET.
It also incorporates overvoltage protection and slew rate adjustment functions, allowing the functions of other power supply ICs to be integrated into the Toshiba eFuse IC.
Specific usage methods are as follows. When using the TCKE8 series operates at voltages ranging from 4.5V to 18V. The overcurrent limit can be set to 0.5A ~5A using an external resistor.
