What is eFuse IC (electronic fusing)?

An eFuse IC (electronic fuse) is an integrated circuit (IC) designed to protect electronic circuits.

Toshiba eFuse ICs incorporate various high-performance, high-precision protective functions that are not feasible with conventional fuses. Compared with the function realized using discrete passive components or a combination of multiple ICs, this feature contributes to higher quality, lower cost by reducing the number of components, and miniaturization by reducing the mounting area. This product is also effective in reducing maintenance costs and recovery time required for repair because it can be used repeatedly.

What is eFuse IC (electronic fusing)?

Toshiba eFuse IC also offers high-speed short-circuit protection, high-precision overcurrent protection, high-precision overvoltage clamping, reverse current blocking, slew-rate control, and thermal shutdown, both of which cannot be achieved with conventional fuses. In addition, there are products that have obtained IEC62368-1 certification, contributing to robust protection, simplified design, and reduced costs, including repair and maintenance.
