What are the precautions when using switching diodes?

Switching diodes are designed to switch a small signal and thus are not suitable for high-voltage applications. Check the maximum allowable voltage and current of diodes and select the ones that provide sufficient design margins.

Switching diodes are designed for use in low voltage signal systems that contain logic. As a guideline for usage conditions, it is designed assuming a current of several tens of mA or less and a voltage of 50V or less, so it is not suitable for use with high power exceeding this.
There are various types of diodes as shown below. Please select an appropriate diode according to your application.
