Where are ESD protection diodes used in the circuit?

When the electrically charged human body and an electronic device come into contact with each other, static electricity is discharged into the electronic device. The most common points of electrostatic discharge (ESD) entry include USB, HDMI®, power supply, and other connector ports. ESD also enters from an antenna with exposed metal surfaces.
TVS diodes must be connected to all the data and power lines that need to be protected from ESD. TVS diodes should be placed as close as possible to the ESD entry points.
We provide an extensive lineup of TVS diodes, including single-bit TVS diodes and multi-bit TVS diode arrays. Our product lineup also includes TVS diode arrays with a flow-through pin arrangement that are designed for much-requested USB, HDMI®, and other multi-ports to simplify board trace layout. Select TVS diodes according to the signal frequency, circuit configuration, and board layout.
