In the TCKE9 series, there are "TCKE903QNA" and "TCKE905QNA" equipped with a "rapid output discharge function."
In the "TCKE9xxQNA," a discharge MOSFET is built into the IC, and a "rapid output discharge function" is provided that quickly discharges the charge stored in the capacitor connected to the VOUT terminal when the output is OFF. This function is enabled by connecting the QOD terminal and the VOUT terminal directly or via an external resistor (see Figure 1). If the QOD terminal is OPEN, the output discharge time is determined by the output capacitor and the load. Figures 2 and 3 show examples of discharge waveforms for the TCKE9xxQNA.
On the other hand, products other than the TCKE9xxQNA do not have a discharge MOSFET built into the IC, and output discharge is performed through the internal circuit. Therefore, it is not designed for active output discharge, and compared to the TCKE9xxQNA, the discharge speed is slower.
